Home / Expats

Tax advice for expats in Spain, in your language.

Whether you've just arrived, work remotely for a foreign company, or own a home in Spain while living abroad, Spanish taxes have their traps. We explain them in English, French, Spanish or Catalan, and take care of everything.

The essentials

Three things every expat should know.

Beckham Law

If you haven't been tax resident in Spain in the previous five years, you may pay a flat 24% on employment income up to €600,000, for the year you arrive and the five following. Since the Startups Law it also covers remote workers, entrepreneurs, highly qualified professionals and their families.

183 days

Spend more than 183 days a year in Spain, or have your main economic interests here, and you are generally a Spanish tax resident: you pay tax here on your worldwide income, and the double tax treaty decides where each income is taxed.

Form 720

Spanish tax residents with bank accounts, securities or property abroad worth more than €50,000 in any of those categories must report them between 1 January and 31 March.

General information only. Every case depends on your circumstances and your country's tax treaty with Spain: we confirm the details before filing anything.

Expat FAQs

Do you really speak English?

Yes. We work in English, Spanish, Catalan and French: on WhatsApp, by email, on calls and in writing. Official forms are in Spanish, but we explain every one of them to you.

Can you help if I'm not in Spain yet?

Yes, and it's the best moment to talk: some decisions, like the Beckham Law, have strict deadlines from the day you start working here.

Do I need an NIE?

For almost any tax procedure in Spain, yes. If you don't have one yet, we'll tell you how to get it and what you can prepare in the meantime.

How much does it cost?

Freelancers from €35/month, companies from €99/month and annual tax returns from €49. For Beckham Law, non-resident tax or form 720 we give you a fixed quote before starting.

Tell us your case, in your language.

We reply in English, French, Spanish or Catalan and give you a fixed price.
